Solving common problems

Most problems have one of a few causes. Here are the most common ones and what you can do.

Commands do not show up

• Reload Discord: Ctrl + R (Mac: Cmd + R).
• Check under Server Settings → Integrations → BitGuard whether commands are blocked for your role or the channel.
• Only members with the matching permissions see moderation and admin commands.
• Economy commands you switched off disappear from Discord on purpose.

Roles are not handed out

• Role orderThe BitGuard role must be above the target role
• Missing permissionBitGuard needs "Manage Roles"
• Managed roleNobody can assign roles of other bots or booster roles
• Dangerous permissionsBitGuard deliberately does not hand out roles with e.g. Administrator

AutoMod does not trigger

• Is the rule switched on?
• Is the channel or role excluded globally or for the rule?
• Does BitGuard have "Manage Messages" in the channel?

No XP

• Is leveling switched on?
• The cooldown prevents XP for every single message, that is intended.
