Channel rules

Last updated: Oct 9, 2026

Channel rules decide which kind of message is allowed in a channel. Anything that doesn't fit is deleted by BitGuard right away.

Rules

• Images & videos onlyFor clip, meme or screenshot channels
• Links onlyFor channels that are meant for sharing
• Text onlyNo links, images or files
• Everything except linksNormal chat without advertising
• Everything except images & filesPlain text and link chat

Setup

1. Add a ruleChoose the channel and what is allowed.
2. ExceptionsRoles the rule doesn't apply to.
3. NoticeOptionally a short notice that disappears after 6 seconds, with your own text if you like.

Members with the "Manage Messages" permission are always exempt. BitGuard needs this permission in the channel itself. 5 rules are free, 50 with Premium.
