AutoMod checks every message against the rules you switch on. Every rule has its own settings and exceptions.
Rules
- SpamToo many messages in a short time
- Bad wordsYour own word list, 250 words for free, 1000 with Premium
- Duplicate textThe same text several times in a row
- Repeated messagesRepetitions within a short time
- Discord invitesInvites to other servers
- LinksWith a whitelist or blacklist of domains
- Caps spamToo high a share of capital letters
- Emoji spamToo many emojis in one message
- Mass mentionsToo many @mentions in one message
What happens on a violation
The message is always deleted. In addition, you can choose per rule:
- Delete onlyNo further penalty
- Mute10-minute timeout
- TimeoutWith a duration you choose
Every action shows up in the moderation log.
Exceptions and channel rules
- Globally ignored channels and rolesNo rule applies there or to them
- Exceptions per ruleFor example, allow links only in the promo channel
- Image-only channelsMessages without an image are removed
- YouTube-only channelsOnly YouTube links are allowed
"Manage Messages" permission
Without this permission in the channel, BitGuard cannot delete violations.
